“I am convinced that we can make the world a better place through science. Empirical economic research enables us to better understand human behavior in the healthcare market and make it more human-centered. In this sense, research provides the foundation for evidence-based advancements in the healthcare system.”
Christian Schmid has been with the CSS Institute since 2015, initially as a research associate and, since October 2020, as the Head of the Institute. He is also a private lecturer at the University of Bern, where he earned his PhD in Economics in 2014.
